ABOUT THE BOROSILICATE GLASS
Borosilicate glass is a special kind that incorporates boron trioxide and silica in the main glass-forming constituents. These non-toxic and environmentally-friendly chemicals make the glass more resistant to thermal shock than any other common glass, and less prone to chemical attacks.
One of the most popular other forms of glass on the market is soda-lime glass because it is less expensive and readily available. Its chemical composition is silica, soda (sodium oxide) and lime (calcium oxide). It is relatively durable at only normal temperatures and does not handle extreme changes in heat.
